Cosmetic Procedures

Invisalign | Botox | Whitening | Veneers

Invisalign is a tooth straightening system consisting of a series of plastic trays called “aligners” which are changed every two weeks or so. These aligners are to be worn approximately 22 hours per day and are virtually invisible. A computer program is used to calculate and manufacture each aligner to gradually shift your teeth into place and the dentist is able to plan, along with the program, what the outcome will be and share it with you.

Smiles include more than just teeth, which is why Dr. Davidson is a good choice to be your botox cosmetic provider. Botox is a cosmetic treatment which temporarily reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It is a purified protein which is injected into the muscles temporarily relaxing them and reducing the contractions of the face which cause lines to appear. Botox can also be used therapeutically to relax muscles which can trigger migraines or tempromandibular problems.

Tooth whitening can be accomplished at home or in the dental office. Take-home whitening consists of plastic trays made to fit your teeth into which you place a whitening gel supplied by your dental office. These whitening trays are worn between 15 minutes a day and overnight depending on the strength of the whitening gel. With take-home whitening you can start to see results within a few days. With in-office whitening the patient can see results at the end of their appointment. Zoom! whitening is the in-office procedure most commonly used. During Zoom! Whitening the teeth are isolated and a strong concentration of whitening gel is applied. The special Zoom! light is then applied in three 15 minute sessions. The light works with the gel to enhance its effectiveness.

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain made to fit the facial surface of the tooth. Veneers can be used to enhance the look of your teeth, dramatically improving color and shape. Veneers can be made of porcelain or composite filling material.
